A Note From The Coach

A few months ago I realized that there is something I'm really, really good at that I had not been incorporating enough into my coaching. Have you ever had that "a-ha" moment in your work? Maybe you find yourself doing something that just feels so effortless and so right – and you realize you don't do it enough?

Well almost 8 years ago I was trained in a cutting edge technology called Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP.) I use it when my clients get stuck, repeatedly make bad decisions or find themselves struggling with clarity.

The reason I'm sharing this with you is you are going to notice a shift in what I focus on in my coaching and business growth tips. For a year I've been going deep into what is my next direction and the clues that are popping up are to serve this community differently. It's going to be more than just building a six or seven figure business.

Next week I'm going to host my first live call revealing some of these new changes. It's called Magnetize More Money. You can see more about it below but one thing I will guarantee you – this is more than strategy and tips. This is about creating real lasting change so you can finally sustain the level of success you desire.

Along these same lines this week's article is fresh from some recent client breakthroughs – I want you to be able to laugh a little and get a huge breakthrough in your thinking!

On a more personal note, I want to thank all of you who commented on my ziplining video on Facebook . I never thought it would be so moving to know that I conquer my fear of heights with these kinds of adventures. I'll share more about that on my personal page – maybe even some of the great local experiences to have here in Los Angeles!

A Success Tip

How to Convert Your "Missed Deadlines" into "Guaranteed Results"

A few weeks ago one of my clients asked how he could stop missing deadlines and get more predictable results with his business. Now I’ve worked with this client for a couple of months and I had a pretty good idea of why he wasn’t able to achieve his goals on time. But I asked him, "Jason, can you please tell me your strategy for predictable failures?"

I think he was a little shocked at first but then I explained. "Well, you have gotten very good at making sure you don’t get the results you want, right? So the good news is that when you have a strategy that gets you predictable results – even if the wrong results – then you can flip it into a positive strategy!"

So here is what I did with Jason.

First I asked him to explain step by step how exactly he made sure he screwed up a plan and didn’t get good results.

Here was his strategy for missed deadlines:

• When I decide to start the project, establish a due date without looking at calendar or other commitments so it’s completely unrealistic.
• Set up myself up so that you I multiple important projects going at the same time.
• Keep the project plan in my head and wake up stressing every day about it
• Tell myself I’m going to work on the project then answer other peoples urgent requests via email and phone and don’t get anything done
